aside from being home of one of the greatest engineering achievements in the world, panama is a city where the cost of a beer (0.36US) is less than an hour of internet (0.65US), and a taxi ride will set you back around a dollar.
having been here only a day, there isn´t much to report yet. took a short trip out to the miraflores lock today - now know all there is to know about a lock and how it operates and then took in some of the city´s finer highlights ....
more to come soon no doubt, but this city already shows signs of greatness and somehwere that everyone should visit (isn´t that what i always say!)

other than merkins - they have no idea how to drive - speed lmits being a suggestion rather than a rule. and it´s no wonder they all need guns - with hardly a pub to be found they need something to amuse themselves of a night ... hope there aren´t any merkins reading htis - don´t tell them where i am!!!

hi guys, you out sunning and drinking and having fun, the highlight of my day has beena fire drill!! all great here, same o, we are getting foxtel installed this weekend so we will be home bodies for a while to come now, or is that just married life? miss you, have a great time, cheers, simon
